Until eternity... What sounds like a romantic relationship is here to be understood as a true nightmare. Not only in Teflon pans are eternity chemicals, so-called PFAS (per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances) used. They are also added to cosmetics and personal care products as solvents or binders. Their impact on the environment and health is extreme.
Flushed down the drain from hair, for example, they end up in wastewater and thus in the environment and our food chain. PFAS are extremely persistent in the environment and have been accumulating there for decades.
PFAS are strongly suspected of causing thyroid and liver diseases. They are associated with obesity, diabetes and increased risk of cancer. There is evidence of fertility disorders as well as developmental and behavioural disorders.
Look for the word "fluoro" in the ingredients. The dye HC Yellow No. 13 is also a PFAS.The recommendation here is quite clear: Do not buy any care products that contain PFAS.
